Olivia Culpo was born in Cranston, Rhode Island, of Italian & Irish descent. She is a trained cello player, as influenced by her musician parents.
Culpo is a prominent influencer in the fashion and beauty world. She won the 2012 ‘Miss Rhode Island USA‘ competition, the first beauty pageant she had participated in.
Olivia represented her home state in the ‘Miss USA‘ and won the title. Following this, she was crowned ‘Miss Universe‘ in 2012.
Her victory was questioned as many critics claimed Donald Trump had a hand in her winning. Olivia had to withdraw from becoming part of the judges’ panel in the 2015 ‘Miss USA‘ pageant.
In 2017, Olivia teamed up with her father and ventured into entrepreneurship. They started ‘Back 40,’ a country-style, all-American cuisine restaurant in her home state of Rhode Island.
The former Miss USA winner’s public romances with celebrities and athletes, including Nick Jonas and Tim Tebow come with their own controversies.
Olivia’s most publicized affair had been with NFL receiver Danny Amendola. The couple became Instagram official in February 2016 and broke up in 2019 after the NFL pro was photographed getting close with another lady.
Following the break-up, Amendola made an explosive Instagram post, slamming Olivia’s “fishbowl lifestyle” and her attention-seeking activities just to enter Hollywood.
Months later, Culpo sparked romance rumors after she was spotted at Coachella getting close with the Russian-German DJ and record producer Zedd.
In response to COVID-19 pandemic, Culpo founded MORE THAN A MASK. 100% of the proceeds from the sales of fashion face coverings will be used to support Feeding America.
Olivia has built an influential social media platform and garnered close to 5 million followers on Instagram, a space that she has used as a launching pad for many successful ventures.
She is a Sports Ilustrated Swimsuit cover model. On July 2020, Sports Illustrated unveiled the 2020 Swimsuit Issue, starring modeling trio Olivia Culpo, Kate Bock, and Jasmine Sanders on the cover.
